The Suzuki Kizashi, the firm's Ford Mondeo rival, will be sold in Germany from this October - but there remain no plans to sell it in the UK.
The car has previously only been sold in Japan, America and Switzerland, hindered by its availablity with only a 178bhp 2.4-litre petrol engine, in two or four-wheel drive formats.

However, hopes were raised that Suzuki was planning to extend sales in Europe when the car was displayed at the Geneva motor show this year.
A spokesman for Suzuki UK said the company is still keen to bring the car to the UK when the market conditions are right.
This may be possible if a rumoured a petrol/electric hybrid version is introduced next year. Unconfirmed reports have also suggested Suzuki could use its tie-up with the VW Group to source a diesel engine for the car, although this is likely to be a longer-term plan.

Re: Suzuki Kizashi for Germany
Germans will think they are buying an upmarket VW Jetta until they see the badge on the front.

If it gets here i bet it has a VW diesel in it. What it needs is a small V6 petrol, not that it would sell, but it would make it a nicer car
