Prices for Ford's new C-Max and Grand C-Max revealed ahead of sales starting next month

The new five-seat Ford C-Max will cost from £16,745 when sales start next month.

The entry-level Zetec model comes equipped with a 104bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine; standard equipment includes alloy wheels, air-con, a leather steering wheel, a DAB radio system and Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

Other petrol engines in the C-Max range include a 123bhp 1.6 and an all-new four-cylinder 148bhp 1.6 Ecoboost engine mated to a new six-speed manual gearbox. This costs from £19,745 in Titanium trim, which adds climate control, keyless start, cruise control a premium Sony audio system and automatic front headlights and wipers over Zetec models.

Diesel engines available in the C-Max include a 113bhp 1.6 and a 138bhp 2.0, which is also available with Ford’s six-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Prices have also been announced for the seven-seat Ford Grand C-Max. All of the engines available in the C-Max are available in its larger sister model, with the exception of the entry-level 104bhp 1.6 petrol unit.

The Ford Grand C-Max costs from £18,745 for the 123bhp 1.6 petrol model in Zetec trim. Sales of this model also start next month.

That's some pretty fussy styling especially over the rear side panel. It's maybe just the picture but it also looks tall and under wheeled.
Its the picture Id say
err....I'll let you make up your own mind...but having seen many over the last few months FastRenaultFan is correct...it's a pretty unhappy rear-end/C-pillar....a real shame as the rest of the exterior and interior design is pretty good. Just translating the Mondeo lights to that odd bustle on the rear-end doesn't work.

Thats pretty good standard equipment for a base model
Agreed - and that's not a bad price when you consider the current Focus is more expensive, and a Fiesta Econetic is getting on for £16000! Good to see a DAB stereo being standard, maybe we'll see more of this. I think it's a good looking car too.

Its the picture Id say . I think it looks classy and neat if a little bland at the front think they were to safe on styling there could have went more S-max like . The S-Max still looks better . I think I would definatly prefer it over a car like a Golf do so much easier to get in and out of more comfortable . Looks a lot better than the latest Golf too .
