Zenos and Charge Cars are among the first to confirm they will develop and build cars at the Hethel factory

Lotus has opened what it calls the Hethel Performance Hub at its Norfolk headquarters in a move aimed at improving the profitability and sustainability of Lotus’s traditional sports car production centre. It can help other manufacturers design and engineer cars for market, and even build them on its Hethel production lines.

The new project is an extension and expansion of its traditional Lotus Engineering business, where it has historically assisted OEMs in specific areas of vehicle development, most notably its famed vehicle dynamics engineering.
