Pricing and specification details have been revealed for the new Audi A3 and Audi S3, which both gain a wide-reaching overhaul for 2024 in saloon and Sportback guises.
The A3 Sportback costs from £32,035, while the more practical saloon is slightly more expensive at £32,600. Both variants are available to order now.
The more potent S3 opens for order on 15 May and comes in at £46,925 and £47,490 for the Sportback and saloon respectively.
As standard, the A3 comes with LED headlights, electric sports seats, a 10.1in touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging and voice control.
Other equipment, such as Audi’s digital cockpit, front and rear parking sensors, heated seats and three-zone climate control are also included as standard for the first time on the A3 model range.
Mid-range S-Line models gain larger 18in wheels plus ambient lighting, a flat-bottomed sports steering wheel, S-line styling cues and sports suspension.
Black Edition cars get 19in wheels, fabric interior trim, plus a black exterior styling pack, and the doors will project the Audi logo onto the tarmac below when opening the door.
The revamped A3 will initially go on sale with a choice of two powertrains: the 35 TFSI 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol and the 35 TDI 2.0-litre diesel. Both units offer an unchanged 148bhp.

Peter. Peter. Peter. Once you've had it, you can't go back. I'm assuming you're sat in your iunheated house wearing 7 layers and take cold showers? It's 2024. If I'm spending a lot of money on a fancy Audi I expect the extras as at least an option.
A petrol hot-hatch in 2024? It's an antique. Like buying a horse and trap after the Model T arrived. Or a Nokia brick phone after the iPhone launched. Exhaust pipes, turbos, gearboxes, mechanical braking, fuel and combustion - this is all yesterday's tech. If German car companies keep holding onto the past, they will go extinct.
Electric cars are not the future.
I was going to buy the previous one as a great Yorkshire B road car. But Audi UK decided not to offer heated steering wheels, lovely in a Yorkshire winter. So I got the Cupra Formentor instead.
Any chance of getting all the options this time Audi UK?
No heated steering wheel?, wear gloves then!
