Volvo’s big-selling off-roader, the XC90, will receive a spec boost for the 2005 model year. Lower-level S models will include a new 17in alloy wheel and water repellent door mirrors, while the SE gains electric folding mirrors and ground lights as standard.
An upgraded ‘Premium Pack’ will now add bi-xenons, heated seats, Mini Disc player with a 12-speaker Dolby surround sound system for £2400, an increase of £1300 over the 2004 price. The ‘Communications Pack’, which remains unchanged, with integrated GSM telephone and sat-nav, is reduced in price from £3200 to £2600. The XC90 will be available in three new colours.
Detailed changes to the range-topping Executive models won’t be available until later this year, but pricing across the line-up has been revealed. Expect a £965 hike for all S models while SE and Executive models will gain £1315 when they are available in the UK starting May 2004.
