'Giga Panda' and coupé sibling plus Lancia Gamma and Citroën concept to be displayed at biennial show

Stellantis will unveil several new models at the Paris motor show this October, including two new Fiat models, Lancia’s second car since its rebrand and a new Citroën concept.

The Fiats are expected to be the production versions of the Giga Panda and Fastback concepts that were first shown two years ago. These are thought to be based on the same Smart Car platform as the smaller Grande Panda but stretched to create family SUVs to rival the Dacia Bigster. Given they are being unveiled at the Paris show in October, they are expected to reach the UK early next year.

Lancia, meanwhile, will pull the wraps off the Gamma. Although it will take its name from a historic coupé, the new model will be an SUV twinned with the DS No7. To that end, it is expected to offer a choice of petrol and electric power, with the latter set-up offering a range of around 460 miles. In its design, it is predicted to echo several cues from the smaller Lancia Ypsilon, including its cross-shaped front lighting signature.

Citroën will also show a “concept car packed with personality”, which could follow on from the previous ELO and Oli in showcasing the brand’s intention to bring practical, sustainable and affordable cars to market.

The show will also host the European debut of the new Leapmotor B03, a Volkswagen ID 3 rival from the Chinese brand in which Stellantis owns a controlling interest. The B03 was revealed earlier this week in official Chinese government filings that show it will offer two batteries and either 94bhp or 121bhp.

Stellantis is among the first manufacturers to detail its presence at the biennial Paris motor show and, given it was born out of French manufacturers Citroën and Peugeot, is expected to have one of the largest stands. Compatriot Renault is also likely to have a substantial showing.
