Maserati's 911 caught testing

This is Maserati's rival to the Porsche 911, caught during its final sign-off tests. The Pininfarina-styled coupe will make its debut at next year's Geneva motor show. It uses a tuned version of the Quattroporte's 4.2-litre V8 engine, producing 450bhp. The coupe sits on a shortened version of the saloon's platform, so it will use double wishbone suspension and electronic damping.

Maserati is also working on a Spyder version, which will feature a folding metal roof.

Expect UK sales to start next summer, with prices starting at around £60,000.
