Electric and hybrid versions of the Focus, Mondeo and Transit all confirmed

Ford will launch five electric models by 2013, including battery-electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

In 2011 there will be a pure electric Transit Connect, followed by a full-electric Focus in 2012 and full hybrid versions of the Focus and next-generation Mondeo by 2013.

There will also be a hybrid plug-in model, probably a Focus, in 2013.

Ford believes that globally, some 10-25 per cent of Fords will contain some form of electrification of their powertrains, according to Joe Bakaj, Ford's European product development boss.
