New Audi TT for Geneva motor show in March and on sale before the end of the year; crossover TT concept on the way, too

The new Audi TT will be revealed at the Geneva motor show in March before going on sale later this year, Audi technical chief Ulrich Hackenberg has confirmed at the Detroit motor show.

Hackenberg confirmed that the Allroad Shooting Brake concept at Detroit closely previewed the look of the new TT coupé, and also indicated that the TT range had the potential to expand with a crossover model in the mould of the concept.

“There is a trend for crossovers, shooting brakes and Allroad models, and we combined the TT with these concepts,” said Hackenberg.

“The TT has more potential now than in its history. It can be different concepts and segments. A more rugged TT definitely has potential, yes.”
