MS-RT has been awarded Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier status for its customised Transit

Ford Motor Company has approved MS-RT’s recently launched Transit Custom for sale through its UK dealer network.

MS-RT specialises in performing motorsport-inspired modifications to Ford’s line-up of commercial vehicles, primarily the Ford Ranger pick-up and Ford Transit van.

The MS-RT Transit Custom comes with a unique bodykit, 18in OZ racing alloy wheels and Eibach lowering springs fitted as standard, while MS-RT-branded decals top off the visual enhancements.

In the cabin, the standard Transit Custom interior has been enhanced with the addition of carbon inlays on the steering wheel and hand-trimmed nappa leather seats.

The Transit Custom’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ecoblue Diesel engine has been tuned to produce 168bhp and 299lb ft of torque which, with the addition of a sports exhaust system, is good for a top speed of 93mph.

The Welsh company took inspiration from World Rally Championship team M-Sport, officially backed by Ford, to create a Transit with motorsport-bred aerodynamic and technological qualities.

The Qualified Vehicle Modifier title is awarded to companies with manufacturing and quality control practices that match those of Ford itself. Any vehicles sold through a QVM come with a warranty that matches the terms of that offered by Ford.
