M2 CS (2018) Like the M3 and M4 Club Sport variants, it gains carbonfibre parts and has a subtle hike in power output.

X3M (2018) Aimed at the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 and Porsche Macan Turbo. Twin-turbo 3.0-litre six-pot provides the power.

M3 (2019) New M3 will be larger but the target weight is the same as today’s car. Insiders dismiss all talk of a hybrid drivetrain.

M4 coupe (2019) Second-gen M4 will pack a 10% boost in power at around 465bhp. Planned CS model likely to top 500bhp.

M8 coupe (2020) To be positioned much higher than the M6 Coupé it’s set to replace. Gets M’s twin-turbo 4.4 V8 with about 600bhp.

BMW X6 M (2020) As with the next X5 M, it will get even more power in a bid to match the likes of the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63.

BMW X5 M (2020) Next X5 M is set to benefit from a range of weight-saving measures and fully variable four-wheel drive.

M8 Cabriolet (2020) Future M range-topper will feature a fabric roof, 2+2 interior and the same driveline as the M8 Coupé.
