Ford’s domination of the van sales chart in the UK hides a weakness that it hopes to plug through a new partnership with Renault.
News that Renault will build Ford two small electric cars, one a Fiesta replacement, overshadowed the announcement that the two plan to work together on the development of future vans. And of the two, the van partnership could be the more significant.

Wow, what a long way to fall? A company that invented the 'Transit' relying on a French company for a foothold in Europe!!!
Cortina, Escort, Fiesta...the list is long...reduced to asking a French car company, whose own share price has plummeted since 2017, for help. When the small EV vans started selling, Ford was the only van company without one. That was the writing on the wall. And they cancelled the Fiesta??? I mean, what???
